WEDGWOOD FOUR-COLOR JASPERWARE OBLONG OCTAGONAL POLISHED-EDGE MEDALLION, 'THE CUPID MARKET AND ALTAR TO EROS' circa 1790, impressed uppercase mark and F, after the Herculaneum fresco, applied in white relief with a market scene of putti being offered for sale from a circular pen, an amatory altar and a vestal carrying a ewer and basin before a brazier at the right, reserved on light-blue, within a lilac surround ornamented with a floral garland and black border, h: 1 1/2 x w: 2 5/8 in.
