Literature: These four models belong to a group of figures named the 'Bayerische Trachtenfiguren'. Celebrating regional traditional costumes, the series was started 1937 by the Bavarian artist, Resl Schroder-Lechner (1910-2000), who was a student of the Academy of Vienna. Until her death in 2000, Schroder-Lechner designed her smartly attired traditional dress figures in pairs. The presentation was often preceded by months of in-depth historical research.
