GROUP OF STAFFORDSHIRE WHITE SALTGLAZED STONEWARE TEAWARES, FIRST HALF 18TH CENTURY
Including: a teapot and cover, circa 1722-25, probably Shelton Farms, Hanley, in the manner of Blanc-de-Chine, of globular form with notched handle and plain spout, the flat cover with a Buddhistic lion finial, the sides applied with prunus sprays, w: 5 in. (from spout to handle); a fluted spoon tray, circa 1755, the central well slip cast with a Chinoiserie scene of a figure beside a pagoda, the fluted twelve panel sides each with a flower relief, w: 5 1/4 in.; a toy size plain teabowl and saucer, circa 1730-1750, the saucer dish with a wide band of plants and flowers, teabowl, dia: 2 1/8 in. and saucer dish, dia: 2 3/4 in.; a silver-shaped cream jug, circa 1720-1722, probably Shelton Farms, Hanley, of pear-shape with a deeply fluted lower section; and a toy sized mug, h: 1 3/4 in.   • Condition: Teapot: small chips to rim edge of lid; very minor (pin head size) nibble to spout.
    Spoon tray: old repair to back, small chip repair to edge (barely visible).
    Cream jug: missing handle, vertical hairline crack to waist, chips to rim.
    Toy mug: 3/4 in. hairline crack from top of rim down, minor nibbles to edge of rim.
