WEDGWOOD & BENTLEY 'TORTOISESHELL-GLAZED' CREAMWARE TWO-HANDLED CASSOLETTE circa 1769-80, impressed Wedgwood & Bentley : Etruria disc mark, of inverted pear form flanked by bracket handles suspending drapery swags heightened in oiled gilding, modeled in sections, the interchangeable top reversing to form either a finial or a candle holder, the faux marbling on both the interior and exterior in shades of brown, green, ochre and cream, raised on a square incurved black basalt plinth, h: 12 in.
